I might be creating a new project.

Amazing womanI want to make a website that is similar to tgfa.org. TGFA is a website by Jenny North that I discovered when I was in high school that was a great starting point for gender change comics.

Through it, I learned about Mantra and that The Ultraverse was more than just The Ultraforce cartoon. DC’s Shade The Changing Man, Flare and The Champions, Courier, and Resurrection Man… I had never heard of any of these characters

Since then, new characters have blossomed but sadly the website is mostly dormant. I’m still very much in the planning stages, but it would be awesome if I was able to make the site this year.

SvaughnErinSo what characters have I discovered? Arcee (Transformers), Archina (Archie), Amazing Woman, Captain Power (Spider-Man), Shocking Suzie, Loki, Lord Fanny, G-Girl, Talia al Ghoul (Batman Beyond).

Lately, however, I’ve been obsessing over Shvaughn Erin who was a character from The Legion of Superheroes comics, and was romantically involved with the character Element Lad.

TGFA did mention Shvaughn, but very briefly. I feel like it was because the comics only briefly covered this aspect of the character, and well… comics are expensive to track down, so sadly there were only 4 images on the site of the character.

shocking suziThe other one that I am focusing on, is the previously mentioned Shocking Suzie. She appears for only 4 issues of the Dial H-for Hero reboot they did in the 2000’s called H-E-R-O, or maybe it is just HERO?

I hit up the $1 damaged comics section of my local comic store, and sadly… I only found this one issue there… but it is a start.

Anyways, I wanted to share my ambitious endeavors with the blog here, and I will try and keep people updated.

The History of TG on the internet – TGFA.org

ImageWhen I was a lad on the internet, I found that it could be used for many great things. From newsgroups to online roleplaying to short stories to pictures of women with attractive bodies to men with the bodies of attractive women to… wait, where was I? One of the largest resources for information back then was TGFA.org Now, the Transgender Graphics and Fiction Archive was founded in 1999 by the webmistress Jenny North. The site itself is well… not exactly suitable for work.

Why is she here? Why indeed.

This is the site where I learned many many things, and it saddens me every day that it hasn’t updated since May of 2002! While this makes the information a bit dated, it is still quite useful.

Mantra, Loki, Ressurection Man, Babewatch, Shade, Super Ghouls ‘n’ Ghosts, Darkstalkers, wait… what is fictionmania? ANYWAYS… This site is the rabbit hole, and you’ve got to see how far it goes!

Did you know that Sasquatch of Alpha Flight died and later  possessed a dead female teammate’s body? Or that Gambit’s made his shape shifting best friend become his girl Friday for like… ever? Or that Loki’s been a woman long before he possessed the body intended for Lady Sif? See. there is some good old comic geekery on this site as well!

Thor’s bro is cute

While this site has been up long since it’s last update, I fear one day the knowledge might be lost. It honestly makes me sad to think about. For some, the thought of a man turning into a woman seems dirty, and wrong. For others, however, the idea of exploring the world with a new set of eyes, in someone else’s shoes, wearing someone else’s clothes, just… intrigues them.

That’s no woman, it’s a Mantra baby yeah!

This site really opens people up to many different forms of media that explores this. If you are honestly interested in this genre, and aren’t in it because “Tee Hee, Zelda’s Link would look hot with boobs!,” than you owe it to yourself to stop by this gem from yesteryear while you can.

31 days of Rule 63? Uh….

Art by Misaki-chan
Damn I’d make a sexy girl.

Last month was Sailor Moon month. It was hard to deal with, but this month I’ve decided to focus on something a little more flexible: All things gender change related. Rule 63 in depth, cosplayers, pictures from comic books, mentioning websites, reviews, the whole shabang! One post per day about it, with tons of other content as well, so don’t be too worried if this isn’t your cup of tea.

Since I’ve mentioned rule 63 extensively in the past, I had a few images that I’ve posted before that I wished to share with people again, such as the portrait to the left that a friend did of me. So cute. Also, here are some supposed genetic girls crossplaying as Akuma and Shadow Link. The third pic is Loki, but as she appeared when the male god had his gender flipped officially in the comics. Anyways, see you guys here daily!

Was this the technique that Goken didn't approve of?Is it weird that I've played as this character in D&D?Loki63

Lets go to Louisianime!!

Louisianime is coming up this weekend. It’s always an amazing time as there are great panels, workshops, dances, tea parties, and of course cosplayers. This year, there’s going to be a brand new panel on the board game Go, and I know I’ll be trying my best to impress with The Pose Off. If you’re in Lafayette, LA on May10-12 2013, then definitely check out the show at The Hilton!

Below is a small sample of the cosplayers of Louisianime past. ENJOY!

Male to Female Transgender character in Batgirl #19

batgirl19I was recently linked this via a forum. http://www.newsarama.com/comics/batgirl-19-reveals-transgender-character.html I find it really interesting that not only did DC comics make a transgendered character, they didn’t make a big deal about it. I remember when Batwoman was announced as DC’s first lesbian superhero. Considering I heard a rumor that the former writer of Batwoman was taken off that comic for wanting to introduce a trans character, I’m really happy that this character isn’t just a publicity stunt.

What’s great is that Alysia is a realistic transexual woman, as opposed to a magically created ‘transexual’ like the Marvel villain Loki was, or the anime character Ranma is.
